Duluth Planning Recognizes Development Projects and Organizations with 5th Annual Zenith Award 

[Duluth, MN] - This year, the City of Duluth adopted Imagine Duluth 2035, a comprehensive plan laying out the city’s vision for the next 20 years. Imagine Duluth addresses the main categories of economic development, energy conservation, open space, transportation and housing. Good development and implementation of the comprehensive plan does not happen without help, dedication, and investment from our institutions, business owners, citizen advocates, developers, and other community partners. Because of this, the Department of Planning and Construction Services and the Planning Commission created the "Zenith Award" to recognize those who have helped implement the goals and recommendations set forth in adopted City plans. This is the fifth year of the Zenith awards.

The following awardees were recognized at the July 10 Planning Commission meeting for supporting the community and implementing values of the Duluth comprehensive plan:

Lutheran Social Services, for urban design principles implemented with the Center for Changing Lives at 1422 E Superior Street.

Harbor Bay Real Estate Advisors, for construction of Endi at 21^st Avenue E and London Road, which implemented the mixed use vision of the comprehensive plan and addressed housing needs within the city.

Fond du Lac Reservation, for urban design principles embodied within the Center for American Indian Resources, located at 211 W 4^th Street.
