District Flats Apartment Complex Grand Opening

[Duluth, MN] Partners of the new development District Flats, a new housing development, will host a grand opening event on Wednesday, August 8th at 1:00pm at 1306 Maple Grove Road.

The much-needed housing development is the result of partnerships and community support. District Flats was recently awarded a $1,000,000 grant from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), as well as investments from the City of Duluth and Saint Louis County, and community support from area employers who are in need of housing for their workforce. Business supporters of the project's grant application included: 

  • Essentia Health
  • St. Luke’s Hospital
  • Cirrus
  • AAR
  • Maurices
  • MN Power/Allete

Ryan Boman, with Melhus Management and PLB Properties, will be joined by Mayor Larson, City of Duluth staff, Saint Louis County, and others to unveil the completion of the $14 million District Flats apartment complex. The development will offer a much anticipated 72 units of new workforce housing to meet the needs of residents and area employers seeking quality housing for their new hires. The project has been completed and Melhus is advertising for tenants.

The grand opening event will take place on August 8th at 1:00pm at 1306 Maple Grove Road and will feature a brief speaking program.
