Mayor Emily Larson to be joined by Secretary of State Steve Simon to announce the start of Early Voting in Minnesota

[Duluth, MN] – Duluth Mayor Emily Larson, Secretary of State Steve Simon and City Clerk Chelsea Helmer are holding a news conference at Duluth City Hall to announce the start of Early Voting in Minnesota on Friday, September 21, 2018.
Minnesota communities, and especially Duluth, witnessed unprecedented voter turnout during the August 2018 primary where 23% of all Minnesotans and 29% of Duluth residents participated. Secretary Simon is joining Mayor Larson and community groups to celebrate the engaged voters of Duluth and Minnesota and to officially announce the start of early voting across the state of Minnesota.
The news conference will take place on the front steps of Duluth City Hall (on Priley Drive), 411 West First Street at 10 AM. Speakers will include Mayor Larson, Secretary Simon and City Clerk Helmer. Members of the public and media are invited to attend. In the case of rain, the news conference will be held in the Mayor’s Reception Room #405, on the 4th Floor of City Hall.
