[DULUTH, MN] - The City of Duluth Police Department would like to remind tourists and residents to be cautious when traveling to Canal Park this afternoon and evening due to flooding. S Lake Ave and Canal Park Drive are closed below Buchanan St. Beyond Buchanan St is only accessible to residents of Park Point and those who have business in the area. When beyond Buchanan St please be aware that there may be debris or open manholes beneath the water, so traveling on foot is highly discouraged. Waves are expected to increase into the evening, which could make water levels too deep for vehicles. Additionally, visiting the Lakewalk is discouraged as waves are pushing debris and rocks, which is deteriorating the condition of the area.
