New sessions of the Crime Free Multi Housing (CFMH) Training Program have been scheduled in Duluth. The training is for landlords and property managers in the City of Duluth. The program provides a partnership between police, local property owners/managers, and residents to foster a safe, healthy, and crime free community in rental housing.
The four upcoming dates for the trainings are: May 25th; July 27th; September 28th; and November 30th. All sessions are scheduled on a Tuesday and held at the West Duluth Police Station Training Room, 5830 Grand Avenue. The hours for each session are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Those interested in attending or wanting more information can contact Jacob Wagner of Neighborhood Housing Services at (218) 727-8604 ext. 15 or email him at jwagner@nhsduluth.org. The registration form can also be found on the City of Duluth’s main web page, www.duluthmn.gov under the Crime Free Multi Housing tab, or here. The registration fee for the May or July session is $35, while the fee for the September or November session is $50. The fee for all sessions includes lunch and a training manual.
The Duluth Police Department wants to encourage all landlords and property owners to attend the Crime Free Multi Housing training and to work together with Police to address rental property issues. The partnerships formed from the first trainings in March have proven to be successful.
The training is sponsored by: Neighborhood Housing Services-Duluth; NeighborWorks America; At Home in Duluth and Duluth LISC; and the Duluth Police Department.
