SUBJECT: Attempted Robbery of Holiday Stationstore

INCIDENT LOCATION: 210 South 27th Avenue West

At 4:45 AM this morning, Friday, May 14, 2010, the Duluth Police were called to the Holiday Stationstore, 210 South 27th Avenue West, on the report that an attempted robbery had just occurred.  A lone white male in his mid-20’s had entered the store and demanded money from the cash register. The male suspect told employee’s that he had a weapon but none was seen and the suspect then left the store without any money.

 

The description of the male was given to responding officers who set up a perimeter in the area.  At 5:13 AM a male matching the description of the robbery suspect was located at 24th Avenue West and West Third Street.   The 25 year old Duluth male was identified as the suspect in the robbery and taken into custody without incident.

 

The investigation into the robbery continues and no further details are available at this time.
