[DULUTH, MN] - On August 8th, 2018 at 3:36pm the Duluth Police Department received a report of a 5-week old child with a severe head injury. As a result of that injury the child was admitted to St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth and later transferred to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis where he was later pronounced dead on August 11th, 2018. A press release by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner was released on 10/24/18 ruling the child’s death as a homicide. The Duluth Police Department is conducting an investigation into the death of the child. This is considered an active and ongoing investigation and no further information can be shared at this time.
