Mayor Larson and the Greater Downtown Council to Recognize

Small Business Saturday at News Conference to be held November 21 at 10:15 AM

 

[Duluth, MN] - Mayor Emily Larson and Kristi Stokes with the Greater Downtown Council are encouraging the public to "shop small" this season and will recognize Small Business Saturday (November 24) at a news conference to be held Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 10:15 AM. Mayor Larson, Ms. Stokes and other downtown small business owners will gather and make remarks at Hucklebeary, a new retail business located in the Historic Arts & Theatre (HART) district, at 106 East Superior Street, which originally started as a pop-up shop by Emily Ekstrom.   

 

Small Business Saturday officially takes place on November 24 this year and one of the busiest shopping days after the Thanksgiving holiday. It encourages consumers to make big impacts by supporting and shopping at small businesses which in turn supports the local economy. This annual event is recognized and held in communities all over the country.
