SUBJECT: One Arrested as a Result of Heroin Search Warrant

On November 19th 2018, the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of Upham Road following an investigation into the sale of heroin by a male at that address.  During the search investigators recovered over two grams of heroin packaged for sale, $620 U.S. currency, and digital scales.  Police arrested Dovonta Aarmen Norman, 29, of Minneapolis.

On November 21st, Norman was charged by the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office with 2nd Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance in a Public Housing Zone. Norman’s bail was set at $10,000.  Norman has previous convictions in Minnesota for Escape from Custody (2015), Introduce Contraband into Jail (2013), 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (2013), 2nd Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance (2012), 3rd Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance (2012), 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (2012), 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (2011).
