SUBJECT: Two Arrested as Result of Heroin and Methamphetamine Search Warrant

[DULUTH, MN] - On November 18th 2018, the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force executed search warrants at an apartment in the 100 block of North 18th Avenue East and an apartment in the 200 block of North 1st Avenue West. The search warrants were the result of a Task Force investigation into the sale of heroin and methamphetamine in the Duluth area. During the searches police recovered approximately 227 grams of methamphetamine, six grams of heroin, $3,950 U.S. Currency, drug packaging and drug paraphernalia.
Arrested and charged as a result of this investigation were:
Wayne Mapp, 49, of Chicago, 2nd Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance (Heroin) in a Public Housing Zone, Mapp’s bail was set at $30,000.
Donavan Denzel Norton, 23, of Duluth, 1st Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Norton’s bail was set at $10,000.
