[DULUTH, MN] - On Friday, January 11th, 2019 the Duluth Police Department will have the honor of swearing in seven new officers. After a three-month intensive training academy specific to the mission and values of the DPD, these individuals are ready to join our sworn officers for another four months of field training to protect the safety of our community.

"I'm proud to welcome these seven dedicated professionals to our team. Their enthusiasm for our community is inspiring and I look forward to the innovation in policing they will add to our talented team. The Duluth Police Department is a unique place to work as there are opportunities in every division to become an expert in your field of interest and grow a career in law enforcement. These seven individuals have chosen an organization that will challenge them throughout their robust and long careers with our department," said Duluth Police Chief Mike Tusken.
