The Duluth Police Department and Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force executed an arrest warrant for the person of Jacob Jordan Johnson on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. The arrest warrant was for the charge of Aid and Abet Murder in the 3rd Degree.

 

The arrest was the result of an opioid related overdose death that occurred on December 14, 2018.

 

Johnson was arrested in an apartment located in the 200 Block of North 2nd Ave. E. and is currently lodged at the St. Louis County Jail.

 

On January 24, 2019, the Duluth Police Department, the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and the St. Louis County Probation office executed an arrest warrant for Jamie Philanders McNeary for the charge of Aid and Abet Murder in the 3rd Degree

 

McNeary was arrested in the 100 Block of North 5th Ave. W. and is lodged at the St. Louis County Jail.

 

McNeary’s arrest is also connected to the December 14, 2018 opioid related overdose death.

 

The investigation continues with charges being forwarded to the St. Louis County Attorney’s office.
