City of Duluth Plowing Operations Update

[Duluth, MN] City of Duluth snow plow crews are out attempting to clear roads as the snow continues to fall. Operations began early Monday morning at 2:00 am, and with the persistent snowfall, crews are doing the best they can to ensure that roads are as safe as they can be.

As the work continues, the City is pulling in additional plow drivers from other divisions to increase capacity and assist in operations.

Crews are currently attempting to keep main roads clear, and as the snow begins to taper off and subside, will get into residential roads and neighborhoods.

In the interest of providing as much access to plows as possible, as well as the overall safety of drivers, the City is advising residents not to travel unless necessary, and to take precautions traveling on slippery roads. Please also follow alternate side street parking laws so plow drivers can effectively and safely clear the streets.

The City asks that residents remain patient as we try to maintain a high level of service while observing safe work shifts.

To report snow plow or street maintenance needs, please call the snow events hotline at 218-730-5100.
