[DULUTH, MN] - At the Monday, February 11, 2019 Duluth City Council Meeting, Councilors passed a resolution approving a Memorandum of Understanding which allows the Duluth Police Department to participate in the Minneapolis Child Exploitation Task Force. This MOU memorializes the professional relationship the DPD has with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The addition of a Duluth officer to this task force allows for the application of federal tools at the local level. Conviction at the federal level typically results in more significant sentencing and improves the safety of kids and communities. Both agencies treat crimes against children as top priorities and together work hard to keep kids safe. This MOU enables that to happen.
