Duluth to Hold Kick Off Event for Second Phase of Superior Street Reconstruction on April 8

[Duluth, MN] – The City of Duluth is excited to kick off the next season of transformation in downtown Duluth with a series of upcoming events.  Superior Street will undergo the second of three phases of construction to install improved utilities, energy efficient closed loop hot water heat system, and streetscape amenities that cater to more pedestrian activity and enjoyment.

The second phase extends from east of Lake Avenue to west of 4th Avenue E.

The following events are important upcoming dates for the project:

Monday, April 1 at 10:00 am - A public meeting will be held at Greysolon Ballroom (231 E Superior St, Duluth, MN 55802) to provide information pertinent to this phase of the project.

Monday, April 8 - Pending weather conditions, Superior Street from the east side of Lake Ave to the west side of 3rd Ave E will be closed beginning on Monday, April 8.

Monday, April 8 at 1:00pm - Season two public kickoff event in front of the Tech Village between Lake Avenue and 1st Avenue E. The public is invited to attend the event that will include speeches from Mayor Emily Larson, Kristi Stokes with the Greater Downtown Council, Northland Constructors, and several other key partners of the project.
