The City of Duluth Prepares for April Storm
[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth is aware of and is preparing to respond to the storm heading towards the Twin Ports. City plows and graders are in service, and will begin snow removal as early as 2a.m. on April 11th, 2019. To allow for snow to be removed effectively, the city would like to remind residents to observe alternante parking signs and No Parking areas between 2:00 – 6:00a.m.
Public Works has been removing residual sand and salt for the past three weeks. Because of this, streets may be more slippery than in previous winter storms. The city asks the public limit unnecessary travel during the storm if possible.
In the past, storms such as these has caused potential safety concerns in an around Canal Park. Should this storm materialize, the City advises use of caution when traveling. For those that are interested, there are live cams available that provide an interesting perspective, from a safe distance, of the weather in the harbor and in the lakeshore area at http://www.visitduluth.com/livecam/
