City of Duluth to host Coffee & Conversations Series
[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth presents a new Coffee & Conversation series which are topical presentations with Q&A’s for the developers and contractors to about what is necessary to redevelop or reuse existing buildings and sites with real life examples. There will be three, one hour-long sessions this year that will focus on different aspects of the City’s permitting processes.
The first session will be held tomorrow, May 22nd in the Bent Paddle Brewing Co. Taproom from 8a.m to 9a.m. This session will focus on “Is this the right building for you?”. We encourage attendees that are looking at buying a building to start or expand their business and wondering what they should ask before making a financial commitment. City staff will provide guidelines and tips in an effort to make the project go smoothly.
These sessions are the outcome of the Red Tape Reduction Task Force that was created by City Council. This outreach series is focused on content for developers, commercial relators, design professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, commercial contractors, or for individuals that are interested in learning more about the city process.
The two remaining sessions will be held on September 18th and November 6th. The second event in the series will be on “What does “up to code” mean for you?” and the third in the series is entitled “I think I have a plan, now what?”. More information will be available as the additional parts of these series sessions get closer.
The City of Duluth would like to thank LHB and the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce for sponsoring this series.
The Coffee & Conversation series is facilitated by Elissa Hansen, President & CEO of Northspan.
