Public Input Requested for Brighton Beach Improvements, Open House Tonight
[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth Parks & Recreation Department will host a public open house to discuss the revision of the City Council-approved Brighton Beach 2012 Mini-Master Plan. The open house will take place tonight from 5-7p.m. at the Brighton Beach Park- Picnic Pavilion located at Congdon Blvd. and 63rd Avenue East. If it is raining, the meeting will take place at Portman Recreation Area, 4601 McCulloch Street.
The 2012 Plan called for the reconfiguration of the road, trail, parking areas, and green space improvements; however, starting in 2017 significant shoreline erosion has necessitated modification of the road and trail location further from the shoreline. Tonight's meeting will include City staff informing community members about planned improvements and gain public input.
