Monday, June 17 at Lincoln Park Middle School  – 3215 W 3rd St, Duluth, MN
Brodini Comedy Magic Show – 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: The Brodini Comedy Magic Show offers fun and exciting magic tricks that are so cool you won't believe your eyes!  Magician Graylyn Morris will raise spirits and test kids' powers of concentration as he manipulates ropes, scarves, balls, and other magician props in a perplexing "now you see it, now you don't" performance!  This free, family-friendly program is for all ages.


Monday, June 17 at Mt. Royal Branch Library – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Mt. Royal Readers’ Guild – 2:30 – 3:30 pm: Want to join a “secret” readers’ guild? Let’s read Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library together & unlock the secrets through puzzles and activities. Join us! Books will be handed out while supplies last. 

Read to a Dog – 3:30 – 4:30 pm: Kids are invited to read a story to a good listener with big ears! These one-on-one read-aloud sessions with a licensed therapy dog are a great way to practice reading in a comfortable, low-stress environment. Drop-in sessions available on a first come first served basis. Games and activities available while you wait.

 

Tuesday, June 18 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
Summer Reading Kick-Off – 11:00 am – 12:30 pm: Kick off the library’s summer reading program with the Duluth Huskies! Join us to hear stories read by Duluth Huskies players. Stay to get their autographs, take a picture with Harley D. Huskie and Clifford, and try your hand at dunking a Duluth Police Officer in the dunk tank! Every child registered for the summer reading program will receive one free ticket to a Huskie’s baseball game. Kids will also get a free book, while supplies last.

Tuesday, June 18 at Mt. Royal Branch Library – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Lake Superior Zoomobile: Animals of Minnesota – 2:30 – 3:15 pm and 3:30 – 4:15 pm: Animals of Minnesota – Connect with local wildlife and their cousins while learning how they adapt to our changing seasons! Registration is required online at http://www.duluthlibrary.org

 

Wednesday, June 19 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
Squad Car Storytime – 3:45 – 4:15 pm: Join us for stories read by one of Duluth's police officers. Preschool age children. Meet in Youth Services.

Storytime Stay & Play – 10:30 am – 12:00 pm: Stay and play after storytime with Duluth Parks and Recreation! Join us at 10:15 am for Baby and Toddler time or at 11:15 for Preschool Storytime. Stay after storytime for large motor and imaginative play provided by Duluth Parks and Recreation. This event is for children birth through preschool.

Wednesday, June 19 at Mt. Royal Branch Library – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Documentaries & Foreign Films: Won’t You Be My Neighbor– 6:00 pm: Explore your world through documentaries and foreign films. Rated PG-13; 1h 34m

LEGO® at the Library– 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm: LEGO® playtime! Bring your imagination and the library will supply the LEGO® bricks! For kids entering grades K-5. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Fun for Kids! – 10:30 am – 1 pm: Looking for fun and free activities for children this summer? Stop by the library on Thursdays from 10:30 am-1 pm for our weekly event Fun for Kids! Each week will have a variety of crafts, games, and activities for kids entering grades K-5. Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Teen Anime & Manga Club  – 4:00  pm – 6:00 pm: Cosplay Contest – Come dressed in your best Cosplay for a chance for prizes— including gift cards to Barnes & Noble. All teens entering grades 6 - 12 are welcome!

Crafternoons for Kids – 2:00 – 3:00 pm: Join us during Crafternoons for a fun make-and-take craft project, enjoying the company of other crafters.  No experience or sign-up required.
