Traffic Advisory: MEMORIAL DAY PARADE - May 31, 2010
West Duluth 12:30 p.m. starting time
Street Closure and Parking Restriction;
The parade units will line up on 59th Avenue West between Raleigh Street and Grand Avenue beginning at 10:30 a.m. The parade begins at 12:30 p.m.
Parade Route: East on Grand Avenue from 59th Avenue West to 46th Avenue West, north on 46th Avenue West to 5th Street where the parade will disband near Denfeld High School.
The parade units will use all of Grand Avenue from 59th Avenue West to 46th Avenue West.
-All traffic will be detoured off of Grand Avenue during the parade between 59th Avenue West and 46th Avenue West starting at 12:15 p.m. Eastbound traffic on Grand Avenue will be detoured North on 59th Avenue West toward Cody Street and West Eighth Street. Westbound Grand Avenue traffic will be detoured south on 46th Avenue West toward Mike Colalillo Drive and I35. Traffic below Grand Avenue will use Raleigh Street and Mike Colalillo Drive, and traffic above Grand Avenue will use West Eighth Street.
-All avenues and exits onto Grand between 59 Avenue West and 46th Avenue West will be closed during the Parade.
-59th Avenue West will be blocked from Grand Avenue to Raleigh Street for the Parade line-up area.
No parking will be allowed on either side of Grand Avenue along the parade route. "No parking" signs will be posted along this route. Vehicles in violation will be tagged and towed. Motorists should be alert to detours and officers directing traffic.
