Road Construction to begin on 26th Ave East Monday

 

[Duluth, MN] Starting on Monday, July 15th 26th Avenue East between East Superior Street and Jefferson Street will be closed to through traffic for four weeks. The following Monday, (July 22nd) 24th Avenue East and Kent Road between Woodland Avenue and East 4th Street will be closed to through traffic for approximately six weeks.  Detours will be in place during this time.

 

The project will reconstruct the pedestrian ramps to ADA standards, and most intersections will have partial/complete pavement replacement. Because of this, there will be limited or no access through the intersections on the cross streets.

 

The 2019 construction dates will occur from July 15, 2019, to September 27, 2019, with the possibility of extension in September 2019.

 

These streets will be open to residents only during construction. Construction will change daily, and it will be essential to pay attention to the cones and signage.

 

DTA routes will be modified, contact the DTA for updated information.
