DPL EVENTS MONDAY, JULY 22 – FRIDAY, JULY 26

[Duluth, MN] -- All Duluth Public Library events are free and open to the public.

Monday, July 22 at Bayfront Festival Park – 350 Harbor Drive, Duluth
Bayfront Story and Play – 11:30 am – 12:30 pm: Enjoy the summertime views from the Bayfront Family Center with Duluth Parks and Recreation & the Duluth Public Library! We are joining forces to bring you Bayfront Story and Play! Bring your own picnic and blanket and join us for a family story time at Bayfront Park. Stories, songs, and fingerplays will begin at the scheduled time. Families are welcome to play and picnic before and after the storytime. Duluth Parks & Recreation will be there with extra equipment for young children to utilize.

Monday, July 22 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
Book Bingo – 12:00 – 1:00 pm: If you like bingo, you’ll love book bingo – instead of numbers we draw book titles!  Play to win a gift card to Barnes & Noble. In the Green Room.

Tuesday, July 23 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
Kaleidoscope: Laura Ernst – 10:30 am and 1:30 pm: If you’re looking for something new and exciting, you’ve found it. Laura is a juggler, acrobat, and aerialist. With something for everyone, Laura has a variety of stunts that range from death-defying to ridiculously funny. Her show gets rolling inside a human-sized hamster ball. Add that to the international award-winning juggling, astounding acrobatic stunts and high flying aerial fabric over 25 feet in the air and you’ve got a show beyond compare that will be remembered long after the event. You’ll get the same skills that not only won her a spot on America’s Got Talent, but also make her an international award winning juggler. On the library plaza. Wednesday, July 24 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
Special Musical Storytime - 10:15 am and 11:15 am: Join us for special storytimes featuring musical guest Robi Meyerson! Children will enjoy plenty of dancing, singing, and early literacy fun. In the Gold Room. 

Storytime Stay & Play – 10:30 am – 12:00 pm: Stay and play after storytime with Duluth Parks and Recreation! Join us at 10:15 am for Baby and Toddler time or at 11:15 for Preschool Storytime. Stay after storytime for large motor and imaginative play provided by Duluth Parks and Recreation. This event is for children birth through preschool. In the Green Room. 

Thursday, July 25 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
Fun for Kids! – 10:30 am – 1 pm: Looking for fun and free activities for children this summer? Stop by the library on Thursdays for our weekly event Fun for Kids! Each week will have a variety of crafts, games, and activities for kids entering grades K-5. Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult. In the Green Room.

City Sounds: Concerts on the Plaza - 6:00 – 7:00 pm: Join us for the sound of the Big Time Jazz Orchestra, rain or shine! Chairs will be set up, but feel free to bring your own. On the library plaza.

Thursday, July 25 at West Duluth Branch Library – 5830 Grand Avenue
LEGO® at the Library - 3:30 - 4:30 pm: LEGO® playtime! Bring your imagination and the library will supply the LEGO® bricks! For kids entering grades K-5. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Friday, July 26 at Mt. Royal Branch Library – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Family-Friendly Friday Movies: How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World - 10:30 am: Beat the heat & enjoy a family-friendly film at your library.
