Monday, August 12 at Mt. Royal Branch Library – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Read to a Dog – 3:30 – 4:30 pm: Kids are invited to read a story to a good listener with big ears! These one-on-one read-aloud sessions with a licensed therapy dog are a great way to practice reading in a comfortable, low-stress environment. Drop-in sessions available on a first come first served basis. Games and activities available while you wait.
Humane Critter Control - 6:00 - 7:00 pm: Deer and rabbits eating all your hand tended plants? Got chipmunks and raccoons? Learn about ideas that do not include poisoning and are pet safe. Presented by St. Louis County Master Gardeners.
Tuesday, August 13 at Mt. Royal Branch Library – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Senior Moments: Crafts Aren’t Just for Kids! – 11:00 am: Stop by to try your hand at a couple of fun craft projects. No experience required. Drop-ins welcome. All materials are supplied.
Mount Royal Reader’s Guild – 2:30 pm: Want to join a ‘secret’ readers’ guild? Let’s read Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library together & unlock the secrets through puzzles and activities. Join us!
Wednesday, August 14 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
Storytime Stay & Play – 10:30 am – 12:00 pm: Stay and play after storytime with Duluth Parks and Recreation! Join us at 10:15 am for Baby and Toddler time or at 11:15 for Preschool Storytime. Stay after storytime for large motor and imaginative play provided by Duluth Parks and Recreation. This event is for children birth through preschool. In the Green Room.

Fun for Kids! – 10:30 am – 1 pm: Looking for fun and free activities for children this summer? Stop by the library on Thursdays from 10:30 am-1 pm for our weekly event Fun for Kids! Each week will have a variety of crafts, games, and activities for kids entering grades K-5. Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult. In the Green Room.
Teen Anime & Manga Club - 4:00 - 6:00 pm: Create anime buttons and keychains & Wii U Gaming. Teens, Food, Anime, Cosplay, and Games. All teens entering grades 6 - 12 are welcome! In the Green Room.
City Sounds: Concerts on the Plaza - 6:00 - 7:00 pm: Join us for the sound of the Blue Water Big Band on the Library Plaza, rain or shine! Chairs will be set up, but feel free to bring your own. On the library plaza.
