Street Closures:

On Sunday, August 18^th, the HillFest Festival will take place on 4^th Street from 5^th Avenue East to 7^th Avenue East.  The Festival starts at 2:00 p.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m., however street closure times vary.

At 12:00 noon, 4^th Street will close to traffic from 5^th to 6^th Avenues East, and from 6^th to 7^th Avenues East for event setup. During this time, 6^th Avenue East will remain open to traffic. 

At 1:45 p.m., 6^th Avenue East will close from 3^rd to 5^th Streets, in addition to the earlier 4^th Street closure.

The Festival ends at 6:00 p.m., at which time 6th Avenue East will re-open.  Fourth Street will remain closed until approximately 7:00 p.m. for Festival tear down.  Motorists in the area of the Festival should slow down and drive with care; and watch for signs, barricades, pedestrians, and Police Officers directing traffic.

Detours:

Southbound 6^th Avenue East traffic will be detoured at 5^th street, either east toward 7^th Avenue East or west toward 5^th Avenue East. 

Northbound 6^th Avenue East traffic will be detoured east on 2^nd Street toward 7^th Avenue East, or west on 3^rd Street toward 5^th Avenue East.

Fourth Street traffic will be detoured to Fifth Street to bypass the closure.

Local Business Access:

The Whole Foods Coop will remain accessible from 7^th Avenue East throughout the closure.

The SuperAmerica at 6^th Ave. E. and 4^th St. will remain accessible throughout the closure from either using the alley below 4^th Street from 7^th Ave. East, or using 6^th Ave. E. from 3^rd St.

DTA Bus Routes:

Northbound DTA buses will travel east on 2^nd Street to 7^th Avenue East, turn left up 7^th Avenue East to 5^th Street, and turn left to 6^th Avenue East where it will continue northbound. 

Southbound DTA buses will come down 6^th Avenue East and turn left on 5^th Street, then right on 7^th Avenue East to 3^rd Street, where they will turn right and continue westbound on 3^rd Street.
