[DULUTH, MN] On Thursday, September 26, 2019, Duluth Police Department investigators arrested AMBER ROSE LOUISE FORREST, 29 years of age, on the charge of AIDING AN OFFENDER in relation to the shooting death of TIMOTHY JON NELSON. FORREST was lodged at the St. Louis County Jail where she is awaiting to be formally charged by the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office. This is still an active and ongoing investigation and no further information will be released at this time.

[DULUTH, MN] On Tuesday, September 24, 2019, CHRISTOPHER FLOYD BODER, 31 years of age, and JAMES MICHAEL PETERSON, 38 years of age, were arrested in connection with the shooting death of TIMOTHY JON NELSON (33).
BODER and PETERSON were lodged at the St. Louis County Jail on the charges of Aiding and Abetting 2nd Degree Murder and are awaiting to be formally charged by the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office. This is still an active and ongoing investigation and no further information will be released at this time. The Duluth Police Department feels there is no threat to the public.

[DULUTH, MN] Duluth Police Department Investigators continue to investigate the fatal shooting, which occurred on the N 300 Block of 62nd Ave W at 1:47 AM on 9/22/2019 in Duluth, MN. The victim is identified as Timothy Jon Nelson (33) of Duluth, MN. The cause of his death is from that of a gunshot to his abdomen. The manner of his death is determined to be a homicide. [DULUTH, MN] At 1:47 AM on 9/22/2019 the Duluth Police Department responded to the 300 Block of 62nd Ave W on the report of sounds of shots fired. Upon arrival, police located a 33 year old male inside a vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound to his midsection. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Investigators were immediately called to the scene. This is an active and ongoing investigation, no further details are available at this time.
