Monday, October 28 at Mt. Royal Branch Library – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Read to a Dog - 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm: Kids can read a story to a good listener with big ears and a wagging tail! These one-on-one read-aloud sessions with a licensed therapy dog are a great way to practice reading in a comfortable, fun environment.
Wednesday, October 30 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
Baby and Toddler Storytime - 10:15 am: For children from birth to 36 months. 20 minutes of simple stories and fingerplays for infants and toddlers with parents. In the Gold Room.
Preschool Storytime - 11:15 am: For children from birth to 36 months. 20 minutes of simple stories and fingerplays for infants and toddlers with parents. In Youth Services.
Wednesday, October 30 at West Duluth Branch Library – 5830 Grand Avenue
West Duluth Storytime - 10:30 am: 30 minutes of stories, songs, and fingerplays.

Halloween Storytime and Costume Parade - 10:15 am: Join us for a special Halloween Storytime with a costume parade through the library immediately following! In addition, trick or treat anytime today at all of our library locations for non-candy treats! In Youth Services.

Saturday, November 2 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
I Wrote a Novel in a Month And So Can You – 11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Kick-off National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) with someone who’s been there - and a bunch of folks who will be there with you this year. Duluth writer/director/producer/performer Brian Matuszak will talk about his experience writing a novel in a month and get attendees fired up before they break off into groups to talk about their plans, progress and stories so far. Those groups will be encouraged to stay connected throughout the month before meeting at the library again Nov. 30 to share their progress and learn about the long haul of editing. In the Gold Room.
DINOVEMBER: Perler Beads - 11:30 am – 1:00 pm: Celebrate DINOVEMBER with a special afternoon of Perler Beads. Make a dino-themed Perler Bead creation or design your very own art! For kids in Kindergarten and up. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. In Youth Services.
