Monday, November 4 at Mt. Royal Branch Library – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Saving for the Future: How to Preserve Paper, Images, & Recordings - 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm: Heidi Johnson, Librarian and Archivist at the College of St. Scholastica, will discuss methods and supplies needed to save genealogical materials. She will explain resources such as the archives at the College of St. Scholastica. There will be a short Twin Ports Genealogical Society meeting prior to the presentation.
Tuesday, November 5 at Mt. Royal Branch Library – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Book Bingo - 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm: The name says it all: it’s bingo…but with books! Both adult and children’s cards available for all-ages fun. Play to win a gift card to Barnes & Noble.
Wednesday, November 6 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
Baby and Toddler Storytime - 10:15 am: For children from birth to 36 months. 20 minutes of simple stories and fingerplays for infants and toddlers with parents. In the Gold Room.
Preschool Storytime - 11:15 am: For children from birth to 36 months. 20 minutes of simple stories and fingerplays for infants and toddlers with parents. In Youth Services.
Squad Car Storytime – 3:45 pm: Join us for stories read by one of Duluth's police officers. In Youth Services.
Wednesday, November 6 at West Duluth Branch Library – 5830 Grand Avenue
West Duluth Storytime - 10:30 am: 30 minutes of stories, songs, and fingerplays.
Wednesday, November 6 at Mt. Royal Branch Library – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Mt. Royal Book Club - 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm: Meet to discuss Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis by J. D. Vance.
Thursday, November 7 at Mt. Royal Branch Library – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Mt. Royal Storytime - 10:15 am: 30 minutes of stories, songs and fingerplays.
Vegan Cookbook Club – 11:30 am – 12:30 pm: Bring one or more vegan cookbooks and one or more recipes from the books that you have tried or would like to try. If possible, bring a few copies of the recipe to share. Also bring your questions and discoveries about plant-based cooking and baking.
Thursday, November 7 at Marcus Movie Theater – 300 Harbor Drive
Teen Scene – 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: All teens in grades 6-12 welcome! Join us for a showing of Pokémon Detective Pikachu. The theater will be open to us at 4:00 pm. Bring your student ID for entry and a free popcorn. Registration required.
Thursday, November 7 at City Hall Room 303 – 411 West First Street
The Race Card Project - 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm: How has race affected your life? Share your story, and see others’ stories as well. Let’s talk about it! This event will be an opportunity to read some race cards and discuss the experiences of our neighbors and ourselves. The event will be facilitated by Carl Crawford, City of Duluth Human Rights Officer.

Benefits of Early Diagnosis and Latest Research in Alzheimer’s Treatment - 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm: Early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or other dementias provides a range of benefits for the individuals who are diagnosed, as well as their loved ones. Dr. Steve Waring, Ph.D. with Essentia Institute of Rural Health will explain new developments in Alzheimer’s research and treatment, and talk about the benefits of early diagnosis and navigating the healthcare system. In the Gold Room.
