City of Duluth Storm Response Update
[Duluth, MN] City plows continue to remove snow from streets. As of this morning, all main roads have been plowed and work has been ongoing throughout the day to clear residential streets, and will continue until those streets are cleared.
For four days in a row the City has had approximately 40 pieces of equipment working sixteen hour shifts to remove snow. Snow stopped falling approximately 30 hours ago, and Minnesota’s largest grader fleet will continue to work with plows to completely remove snow from city streets and alleys. The City continues to thank residents for their patience while snow removal operations continue.
Today, Lift Bridge operations have temporarily closed due to weight from ice. The east sidewalk (on the lake side) on the Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge was closed due to safety precautions. Deicing operations will begin tomorrow, December 3.
Again, the City appreciates the community’s patience while we work through a difficult storm.
