Good Vibrations for Winter Wellness - 6:00 pm: Music can lighten the holiday blues, bring warm feelings to a cold winter day, and calm to a stressful time. Christina Cotruvo will play and discuss the American-Celtic harp, a hi-tech Harp Ukulele, and a therapy harp. She will share the history of the songs she performs from a variety of genres and how they work toward wellness. Christina resides in Duluth and is a Certified Clinical Musician who uses these unique instruments and her voice in community music groups, memory care facilities, and one-on-one patient therapeutic music services, focusing on the wellness intent of good vibrations.

Baby and Toddler Storytime - 10:15 am: For children from birth to 36 months. 20 minutes of simple stories and fingerplays for infants and toddlers with parents. In Youth Services. 

Preschool Storytime - 11:15 am: 30 minutes of stories, songs and fingerplays. In Youth Services. 

Squad Car Storytime - 3:45 pm: Join us for stories read by one of Duluth's police officers. In Youth Services.

DPL Book Group: Calypso – 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm: Calypso by David Sedaris — If you've ever laughed your way through David Sedaris's cheerfully misanthropic stories, you might think you know what you're getting with Calypso. You'd be wrong. When he buys a beach house on the Carolina coast, Sedaris envisions long, relaxing vacations spent playing board games and lounging in the sun with those he loves most. And life at the Sea Section, as he names the vacation home, is exactly as idyllic as he imagined, except for one tiny, vexing realization: it's impossible to take a vacation from yourself. New members welcome! Minecrafternoons: Block Party – 11:30 am – 1:00 pm: Minecraft + Crafternoons = Minecrafternoons. Bring Minecraft to life by crafting your own world, one block at a time. Take home your Minecraft themed paper folding crafts including chests, in-game characters, and a treasure’s trove of different blocks. In the Green Room.
