City Looking to Fill Boards and Commissions
[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth is looking for individuals interested in becoming more involved in the community to apply to serve on a board or commission. With over 30 boards and commissions, appointed members provide community input, valuable insights, and leadership on topics that include the public arts, disabilities, heritage preservation, parks & recreation, among others. Most boards require Duluth residency, but for the most part, no previous board experience is required. The City encourages residents to consider contributing their talents and perspectives to make a difference in our community. Applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply to strengthen and help shape the work of the City.
The City has 40 immediate open positions on 15 boards and commissions:
- Alcohol-Gambling and Tobacco Commission
- Board of Adjustment for the Duluth International Airport Joint Zoning Board
- Building Appeal Board
- Civil Service Board
- Commission on Disabilities
- Community Development Committee
- Duluth Legacy Endowment Fund Advisory Board
- Duluth Parking Commission
- Duluth Public Arts Commission
- Heritage Preservation Commission
- Indigenous Commission
- Natural Resources Commission
- Parks and Recreation
- Planning Commission
- Special Board of Review
