City of Duluth Prepares for Tomorrow’s Storm
[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth is preparing for a snowstorm to hit the Twin Ports beginning tomorrow, December 28. Heavy snow, strong winds, and a wintery mix of rain and ice are predicted by the National Weather Service from Saturday through Monday, December 30.
City of Duluth Street Maintenance teams are preparing for the next storm and will use salt and sand for icy conditions if need be. If you are driving and see a plow, please maintain a safe distance behind plows, and use caution.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch that is in effect from 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30.
As a reminder, residents will need to abide by alternate side parking on Sunday evening. Cars should be moved to the odd side of the street. Cars will need to be moved to the odd side of the road between 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.
