Storm Causes Road Closures

[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth has closed a portion of Harbor Drive behind Amsoil Arena due to flooding. The City has also closed the Lighthouse Parking Lot located at the end of Canal Park Drive by Grandma’s Saloon & Grill Canal Park. Morse Street is also closed due to standing water. This area is also closed to foot traffic as waves continue to increase in size and is unsafe for pedestrians.  City officials continue to monitor other areas for flooding, of which none have flooded at this time.

City officials have closed access to Park Point for non-residents. The Duluth Police Department is checking identification before the Aerial Lift Bridge.

The National Weather Service has issued a Lakeshore flood warning for the Twin Ports. City staff would like to remind the public not to drive through standing water and keep a safe distance from the shoreline.
