DPL EVENTS MONDAY, JANUARY 6 – SATURDAY, JANUARY 11

[Duluth, MN] -- All Duluth Public Library events are free and open to the public.

 

Tuesday, January 7 at Mt. Royal Branch Library – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Baby Storytime - 10:15 am: A brief storytime ideal for babies 0-24 months, followed by early literacy playtime and socialization.

Tuesday, January 7 at West Duluth Branch Library – 5830 Grand Avenue
Crafternoons for Kids - 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm: Kids, join us for a fun make-and-take craft project. No experience or sign-up required!

Wednesday, January 8 at Main Library – 520 West Superior Street
Baby and Toddler Storytime - 10:15 am: For children from birth to 36 months. 20 minutes of simple stories and fingerplays for infants and toddlers with parents. In Youth Services. 

Storytime Stay and Play - 10:30 am – 12:00 pm: Stay after storytime for large motor and imaginative play provided by Duluth Parks and Recreation. This event is for children birth through preschool. In the Green Room.

Preschool Storytime - 11:15 am: 30 minutes of stories, songs and fingerplays. In Youth Services. 

Wednesday, January 8 at West Duluth Branch Library – 5830 Grand Avenue
West Duluth Storytime - 10:30 am: 30 minutes of stories, songs, and fingerplays.

West Duluth Movies for Seniors: The Secret Life of Pets - 1:00 pm: Rated PG; Adventure/Comedy; 1h 40m.

Read to a Dog - 3:30 pm: Kids can read a story to a good listener with big ears and a wagging tail! These one-on-one read-aloud sessions with a licensed therapy dog are a great way to practice reading in a comfortable, fun environment.

Wednesday, January 8 at Mt. Royal Branch Library – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Mt. Royal Book Club: A Man Called Ove - 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm: Meet monthly to discuss fiction and nonfiction titles. This month: A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman.

Thursday, January 9 at Mt. Royal Branch Library – 105 Mt. Royal Shopping Circle
Mt. Royal Storytime - 10:15 am: 30 minutes of stories, songs and fingerplays.

Social Knitting Group – 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Social knitting has health benefits, supports well-being and creates a sense of community. This group is open to all who love to knit or crochet. All skill levels are welcome.

History Day Hullabaloo – 11:00 am – 3:00 pm: Come to this research open house to get excited about History Day! Receive one-on-one guidance from a History Day staff or mentor. Ask librarians for research help. Find books and research. Parents, help your students with research and learn more about their History Day project!
