Michigan Street to Temporarily Close at 4th Avenue West

[Duluth, MN]  On Wednesday, February 5th, a contractor will be using a crane behind to put materials on the roof of the Providence Building, located at 332 West Superior Street. Work is expected to begin in the morning and end early in the afternoon. To support this work, Michigan Street will be blocked at 4th Avenue West. Traffic control will be set up to allow two-way traffic on Michigan Street between 3rd and 4th Avenue West to let cars access the ramps in the area. The contractor has notified businesses in this one-block stretch of the upcoming work.

The sidewalk behind the Providence Building will be closed. The public is encouraged to avoid this area while it is closed, and use other open sidewalks if possible.
