Duluth Public Library Poetry Contest in celebration of National Poetry Month 

 

[DULUTH, MN] - If you are creative and want something fun to do from home, poets are encouraged to submit poetry submissions to Duluth Public Library via one of their social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) or email submission to duluthpubliclibrary@gmail.com. Submissions will be accepted until midnight on April 30, 2020. 

Poetry will be judged on the following criteria: 

  1. Rhyme/Rhythm/Flow - How does it sound?
  2. Imagery - is the language descriptive? 
  3. Comprehension/Coherence - Does it make sense? 
  4. Power/Overall Impact - Does it move you? Does it make you feel something? 

 Winning submissions for each age group will be shared on the library's social media and will be rewarded with an electronic gift card.
