Duluth Public Library to start Curbside Pickup Service

[DULUTH, MN] – Beginning Monday, April 27, 2020, the Duluth Public Library will start Curbside Pickup Service.  All materials will be picked up at the Main Library location. (520 W. Superior St.) on the Michigan Street side of the library.

Starting Friday, April 24, patrons with items on hold can call and make appointments for curbside pickup to start on Monday. Curbside pickup hours will be from 10 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.

Materials can be requested by using the online catalog at www.duluthlibrary.org, or by calling 218-730-4200 between 10 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. (These call-in hours will start Monday, April 27, 2020.)

Patrons may place holds on up to 10 items for pickup. E-access temporary cardholders will be allowed to check out up to 5 items. Patrons looking for reading suggestions will be provided with five “recommended reads.”

During Curbside Pickup, only items currently on the shelf at one of the Duluth Public Library locations will be available to request. Interlibrary loans are not available at this time.

Returns and book donations are NOT accepted at any of our locations.

The contactless curbside pickup model has been approved by the City of Duluth Safety and Training Officer. This model provides maximum social distancing for the safety of our patrons and our staff. Staff will use cloth face coverings in accordance with City of Duluth workplace safety policy and CDC guidelines.
