Seven nominated for Duluth Hall of Fame

Seven Duluthians have been nominated to receive the 85th Duluth Hall of Fame Award, to be presented Wednesday, June 30th at the Northland Country Club. 

Here is an alphabetical listing of the nominees with a sampling of their volunteer activities:

• Denise Bussa -nominated for service to Duluth Junior League, building of Playfront Park, Marshall School
• Greg Gilbert- nominated  for service to the City and local non profit organizations
• John Goldfine-nominated for service to the University of Minnesota Duluth
• Dennis Hughes - nominated for service to local and area Veterans, St Louis County Historical Society 
• Durbin Keeney- nominated for service to an extensive list of Veterans organizations, Kiwanis Club Friendly Duluth
• Patrick Plys- nominated for service to the 148th National Guard, Down Up North Buddy Walk
• Jon Welles-nominated for service to Voyageurs Council Boy Scouts of America, UDAC

The Hall of Fame award ceremonies will begin with a social hour scheduled for 5:30 PM with the program and dinner beginning at 6:00 PM featuring former Mayor John Fedo, as the guest speaker.
