City of Duluth to Host Press Conference today, June 12
June 12 | 1:00 p.m. | Facebook Live on the City of Duluth’s Facebook Page
[Duluth, MN] Mayor Larson, Human Rights Officer Carl Crawford, and Police Chief Mike Tusken will hold a press conference to discuss Max Mason’s posthumous pardon granted by the Minnesota Board of Pardons. Chief Tusken testified in favor of the pardon, and is directly connected by family to the Clayton, Jackson, McGhie lynchings.
Mayor Larson will also address funding from the CARES Act that has been agreed to by the House and Senate leadership, as the special legislative session begins today, June 12.
The press conference will be held virtually. Residents can watch on the City’s Facebook page. As a reminder, you do not need to have a Facebook account to be able to access the press conference. Questions posted in social media will not be answered. Mayor Larson will be answering questions from residents and the media during the call.
