Library Moves to No Appointment Curbside Pickup
[DULUTH, MN] – Coming soon to the Duluth Public Library - no appointments needed to pick up held library items! Starting Monday, June 15, 2020, our curbside service is moving from Michigan Street to Superior Street. In this no-appointment process, patrons are asked bring their library card and cell phone to pick up held items. If the patron does not have a cell phone there will be instructions outside of the library to help. Books must be requested and held on the patron's account in order to pick up curbside.
Head of Circulation, Byron Johnson, says, "We are excited to offer No-appointment Curbside Service because it will be more convenient for our patrons. As Duluth opens up more, it will be nice to be able to pick up your holds when it is convenient for you. And the evening hours on Thursday will be helpful for those that are going back to work. Place your holds, Duluth. Let’s get reading this summer!”
New no-appointment curbside pick-up hours will be:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; 10-4; Thursday 1-7.
Reader’s advisory hours (calling 218-730-4200 for assistance with placing holds and finding new books to read) will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; 10-12 and 1-4; and Thursday 1-4 and 5-7.
