[DULUTH, MN] On Friday, June 19, the Juneteenth March will take place starting from two different locations in Duluth to City Hall. Marchers will gather at Bayfront Festival Park and Clayton-Jackson-McGhie Memorial at 4:00 PM and will march to City Hall from both locations. Crowds are expected to disperse at 7:00 PM from City Hall. Traffic will be closed at various intersections along the designated march routes starting at 3:00 PM and will reopen as soon as feasible.
Bayfront Festival Park Route
Marchers will walk from Bayfront Festival Park and up Harbor Drive, across the 5th Ave W overpass, up 5th Ave W, and end in Priley Drive at City Hall. The following intersections will be closed to traffic:
- Harbor Drive, below the Bayfront entrance
- Harbor Drive from westbound W Railroad St
- The entrance onto Harbor Drive from eastbound W Railroad St
- Both overpass entrances from 35W onto Harbor Drive
- Harbor Drive and Michigan St
- 5th Ave W and Superior St
- 5th Ave W and #1 Alley both sides
- 6th Ave W and 1st street
Clayton-Jackson-McGhie Route
Marchers will walk from the Clayton-Jackson-McGhie Memorial, westbound on 1st Street and into Priley Drive ending at City Hall. 1st Street at 3rd Ave E will be closed to traffic starting at 3:00 PM and will reopen as soon as feasible. The following intersections along 1st Street will be closed to traffic and have barricades at both north and south allies in the following locations:
- 2nd Ave E
- 1st Ave E
- Lake Ave
- 1st Ave W
- 2nd Ave W
- 3rd Ave W
- 4th Ave W
