City to begin Phase II of East Superior Street Reconditioning Project

[Duluth, MN] Phase two of the East Superior Street Reconditioning Project from Highway 61 to the Lester River Medical Clinic will begin on Monday, July 27. This stretch will be closed to all traffic until the completion of the project. Residents living within the construction zone, and those needing to access the Lester River Medical Clinic will have access from Lester River Road. Drivers should note that staging for this phase will begin on Friday, July 24.

The reconditioning project will include concrete pavement repairs, storm repairs, ADA upgrades, reclamation, and repaving the bituminous portion, in addition to adding a bituminous overlay over the concrete section.
