Bridge Repairs on Waseca Industrial Road to start September 8, 2020

[Duluth, MN] Starting on Tuesday, September 8, the City of Duluth, through a contractor, will begin repairs to Bridges 9255 and 69607 on Waseca Industrial Road over the BNSF Railroad and Keene Creek. The two bridges are located on either side of South 50th Avenue West (Verso Duluth Mill Truck Entrance). Work will begin on Bridge 9255, which is located just north of South 50th Avenue West. Waseca Industrial Road will be closed on either end of the bridge, and traffic will be detoured around the site. Once significant work items have been completed on Bridge 9255, crews will switch to Bridge 69607, which is located just south of the intersection with South 50th Avenue West. Waseca Industrial Road will be closed on either end of the bridge, and traffic will be detoured around the site.

The bridges will not be closed at the same time, and access to South 50th Avenue West will be maintained from the north or south at all times. The public should follow the posted detours. The project is expected to be complete by October 16.
