INCIDENT LOCATION: W. Skyline Parkway/Enger Tower
[DULUTH, MN] On Friday, September 11, beginning at 3:00 p.m., West Skyline Parkway around Enger Tower and Hank Jensen Dr. will close to traffic for the Minnesota Mile Races. Traffic will not be allowed in or out of the Enger Tower/Enger Park parking lot from 3:00 p.m. until approximately 8:15 p.m.
Signs will be posted on West Skyline Parkway at 10th Ave. West and 24th Ave. W. to alert drivers to the road closures.
Enger Golf Course will remain open and accessible from 24th Ave. W. during this event.
The 14th annual Minnesota Mile is a Grandma’s Marathon event that benefits the Young Athletes Foundation. This year’s event has been modified to reduce the size of groups gathered together, in accordance with guidelines from the State of Minnesota. Participants will run in waves of no more than 25 people at a time throughout the event. The first wave starts at 4:00 p.m. and the last wave starts at 7:30 p.m. All runners should be done by 7:50 p.m.
Traffic will return to normal by approximately 8:15 p.m.
