City to host two Superior Street Streetscape Elements public meetings on October 20, 2020

[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth will host two web-based public meeting on Tuesday, October 20th, to discuss the next steps for streetscape elements along Superior Street. The meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. and at 5:30 p.m. via WebEx.

The meetings will address challenges faced by winter maintenance with the originally selected streetscape elements, and the next steps for installation of the remainder of streetscape elements between 7th Avenue West and 4th Avenue East streetscape elements that will be part of the discussion include planters, benches, bike racks, and waste receptacles. The intent of the meeting will be to consider and discuss options for these street elements with long-term operations and maintenance challenges as a key part of the decision-making process.

The Superior Street project is currently under construction in Phase 3, anticipated for completion in Spring 2021.
