City of Duluth Announces Expanded Access to Limited Services at Main Library Branch

[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth is announcing that the Main Library branch will have expanded access to limited services beginning Monday, October 26, 2020.

This is the first step of a potential series of steps to restore library services. At this point, these limited services listed below are only at the Main Library branch. Access and services at the Mount Royal and West Duluth branches have not changed at this time.

The Main Library will reopen to offer one-hour appointments for using computers in the Computer Center. Patrons will be able to:

• Use a computer
• Print, scan and copy
• Continue to use contactless curbside pickup service to pick up held items.
• Return borrowed items to the Main Library 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

Service Hours:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 10:00 a. to 4:00 pm
• Thursday 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm

To help keep everyone safe while visiting the library, please:

• Wear a face mask (required for ages five and older, in accordance with MN Executive Order 20-81)
• Stay six feet apart from others
• Use hand sanitizer or wash your hands
• Stay home if experiencing cold or flu like symptoms

Services and spaces will be adapted to follow public health guidelines. Patrons must use designated computers only. Other library services and spaces will remain unavailable at this time. The City will continue to monitor the number of COVID-19 cases locally to determine whether or not the library can remain open safely. The health and safety of our staff and that of residents is our number one priority.
