Keene Creek Dog Park to partially reopen on Saturday, November 21

[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Division will be reopening Keene Creek Dog Park to users effective Saturday, November 21, 2020.  This reopening is a partial reopening. A large portion of the dog park remains closed to allow newly seeded turf areas to establish and stabilize. Approximately 1/3 of the large dog area and all of the small dog area will reopen. It is recommended that users exercise good dog park etiquette and are mindful of the limited space available. Once the ground is adequately snow-covered and frozen, Parks and Recreation will open the seeded turf areas for winter use.

Keene Creek Park has been under construction during the 2020 summer season. Park improvements are expected to continue during 2021. The dog park will close again in Spring 2021 following snowmelt to allow the rest of the area to be seeded.

If members of the public have questions regarding Keene Creek Park improvements or for more information on dog park closures, please call 218-730-4300.
