SUBJECT: Second Street Temporarily Closed

Second Street temporarily closed between 4th Avenue East to 12th Avenue East due to construction.
 
 
The City of Duluth would like to inform motorists and residents of the temporary closure of Second Street  between 4th Avenue East and 12th Avenue East for the purpose of road milling and paving.   
 
Milling operations will commence on Second Street starting Thursday, July 15th and continue through Friday, July 16th.  The limits of the milling will take place between 4th Avenue East to 12th Avenue East. 
 
Also included in this operation will be a one block area from Mesaba Avenue to the St. Louis County Courthouse.  This section of road will be milled on Thursday, July 15th and paved on Friday, July 16th.
 
Paving operations on Second Street between 4th Avenue East and 12th Avenue East will commence on Friday July 16th and continue on Saturday July 17th and more than likely include Monday July 19th.
 
Commuters and residents should be aware of posted no parking in the milling and paving areas for the duration of the work.
