Warming Center activated for the week of January 25
[Duluth, MN] The Warming Center has been activated for the week of January 25 through January 31 due to cold temperatures. The hours of operations are from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
St. Louis County mental health case managers will be onsite twice a week to support Warming Center staff and connect guests with local resources. This adds direct service to those using the Warming Center. Other benefits include COVID-19 tests, vaccinations, and housing assessments.
Thanks to additional financial support, the Warming Center hours have been extended. Beginning on February 1, the Warming Center will open at 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and stay open 24- hours on Sundays.
If people are looking for ways to help, we can't keep up with requests for gloves, hats, and socks. Donations can be brought to the CHUM main office or Dorothy Day House.
