City crews respond to sixth water main break in under a week
[Duluth, MN] For the sixth time in under a week, City of Duluth Utility Operations crews responded to a water main break located at Grand Avenue and Seaver Avenue in West Duluth. Crews responded to a report of a possible break at 7:30 p.m. and, due to the small size of the leak, were able to plug the leak temporarily.
City crews will be on-site at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow, February 11, and begin work to fix the break permanently. Thanks to the break being so small, water is not expected to shut off while crews repair the break.
Traffic will be limited to one lane while crews are working. The westbound lane will be closed to ensure crew safety and provide room for staff to work. Crews expect to take a few hours to complete before traffic is fully restored.
