Spirit Mountain Task Force Recommendations to be shared at Monday, March 8 Committee of the Whole meeting
Monday, March 8, 2021 at 5:00 pm
[Duluth, MN] After months of research and conversation, recommendations from the Spirit Mountain Task Force will be shared at a committee of the whole City Council meeting on Monday, March 8 at 5:00 pm. Ann Glumac, Spirit Mountain’s Task Force facilitator, will be sharing highlights from the 250-page report that includes data from the economic impact that Spirit Mountain has on Duluth.
Mayor Emily Larson, in partnership with Spirit Mountain, created the task force in June of last year with the intent of creating a set of recommendations intended to help the Spirit Mountain Recreation Area achieve financial sustainability. The proposal was to include a sustainable plan to pay for the repair and replacement of deteriorated infrastructure.
The Task Force was chaired by Councilors Arik Forsman and Janet Kennedy.
The committee of the whole meeting is virtual and open to the public. To join the meeting, click on the following link: https://duluthmn.gov/live-meeting/, then select City Council and you will be connected to the meeting.
